Softly, softly
Soft will be moving into Hall 3 alongside the long established Furnishing Accessories hall, offering Soft exhibitors a platform to meet more buyers than ever before, opening up a plethora of business opportunities, whereas visitors can explore the complete product mix in accessories and home furnishings, all in one hall.
designersblock @ Interiors Birmingham
For the first time ever, Designers Block will work within an event to promote influencing trends alongside their visions for the seasons ahead…
“We are delighted to be working on Interiors 2008 with CMPi. designersblock was set up to provide an alternative showcase to the traditional trade show, inviting more conceptual approaches to how creative businesses communicate with markets and display what they have to offer.
That CMP have invited us to contribute to the development of the Interiors shows, there is much to gain from sharing experiences and perspectives, exchanging ideas on how trading environments operate and may adapt within changing conditions. We look forward to exploring what exhibitors gain from participation and to see how we can contribute to these values.
In ten years we have learnt a lot about showcasing creative businesses, how they grow and mature. We have contributed to a growing professionalism in the sector and encouraged greater market awareness for innovative services and products. over 600 businesses from 30 nations have taken part in 34 designersblock events over in 10 countries. we will draw on our experience and contacts to provide fresh perspectives on the trade show.
It is exciting to be involved in the development of a city festival alongside Interiors. The value of a relationship between city and trade event is increasingly apparent. Since designersblock launched in 1998 up to 20 cities around the world have committed to such festivals. Offering thoughts on how these aspirations may be directed, managed and allowed to grow, reaching commercial and public audiences, our role for Interiors and the city of Birmingham will be to offer encouragement, build competence, suggest scope and raise values for the diverse stake-holders in the project.”
Project X
Using visual media and live interaction, Project X will showcase new trends in design, materials & technology, lifestyle and environmental sustainability. Developed by Max Clements and coordinated with the Designers Block presentation, the area will present a wide spectrum of skills and activity across the industry and stimulate new interaction and the exchange of ideas. Involving top names and specialists in design, manufacturing, business, media and education, Project X will also promote new and young talent throughout the event.
